the faces that inspire our work

All Of Our Dogs Have Exceptional Pedigrees

Our breeding program focuses first and foremost on the health, well-being and happiness of our dogs and puppies. In addition to the health, well-being, and happiness of our dogs and puppies, we strive to offer support to our Pristine Golden families throughout their puppy adoption journey to ensure a joyful, pleasant and seamless experience every step of the way.

Due to the large Golden size, Goldens are pre-disposed to various health issues such as hip and/or elbow dysplasia, skin issues (such as Ichthyosis) / allergies and eye conditions (such as PRA 1 / 2). To guarantee the health of future puppies and avoid the known health issues as much as possible, parents of potential litters are given comprehensive health evaluations prior to any breeding.

  • These evaluations include thorough OFA tests including examination of elbows, hips, cardiac assessments through ECHO, and annual eye clearances. Additionally, we also assess the genetic panel of each parent using Embark Genetic panel DNA profiling, analyzing 256 genetics disorders including the common Golden ailments of Ichthyosis and PRA 1 & 2. In addition to the OFA testing and DNA profiling, we also evaluate the co-efficient of potential parents to determine compatibility prior to breeding.

All of our dogs are microchipped and meticulously selected based on stringent criteria encompassing temperament, health, and conformation. Our dogs are not confined to a kennel setting; instead, they reside with us in our home as members of our family. We maintain a kennel license and ensure compliance with the PA Department of Agriculture.

Once our dogs have been cleared for breeding and puppies are born, the puppies focus on acclimation into the world for the first 3 days of life. After day 3, our puppies begin their socialization program where they are subject to various specific exercises for 10 minutes a day, in addition to other human handling including lots of snuggling throughout the day! These exercises puts the puppies outside of their comfort zone (feet handling, being held in different positions and even put on a cold cloth for 10 seconds) and essentially helps the pups to become comfortable in uncomfortable situations. These exercises will last up to 14 days, once the puppies turn 2 weeks (once their personalities start to develop and they began adventuring around!) these exercises stop and the puppies begin level 2 of socialization which includes introduction to various floor textures, various sounds, and more including children and cat introductions. All of these socialization exercises and introductions take place in a safe environment where the puppies feel comfortable which encourages the puppies to be confident & curious.

We aim to raise well-rounded and confident puppies, and do as much socialization as possible. However, the socialization will not stop with us; socialization will continue once the puppy has come home with you, where you will now take the place of us and their mom in helping them to understand how to respond in/to various situations.

To ensure the success, well-being and health of our puppies, potential puppy families are subject to meet & greets, interviews, and more to ensure a well-suited match. Our goal is to ensure our puppies exceptional quality of life will continue their entire life.
