The puppies are just living life, eating, sleeping, and snuggling with their Mom and siblings. They can not see or hear, their eyes will open at 10 to 15 days, and their hearing will follow around four days later. The largest is 15 oz, the smallest 12 oz. We like to weigh them every day to make sure they are getting enough nourishment.
At this age, some breeders remove the puppy's dew-claws. We don't. We feel that they are too young to be put through the stress. If you decide that they are a nuisance, your vet can surgically remove them later when you neuter your puppy. Click here for an article stating the pros and cons of dewclaws.
